Daisy is a gorgeous ,tabby, girl with beautiful markings. She has a very light, grey body with darker tabby patterns and white chest and socks. She also has a fair bit of ginger colour through out her coat. Available for adoption through a self funded, genuine rescue group called Rhonda's Treasures.
Daisy is an incredibly sweet and loving kitten once she gets to know you. Initially she will be wary with unfamiliar people until she realises you mean her no harm. Once you have moved past this initial wariness and she recognises you, you will have a fiercely, loyal, companion. Daisy and Rose are the most confident kittens out of their litter and will settle quite easily into a new environment.
Daisy and her 3 siblings ( 2 sisters and a brother) have only recently come into care. We have had them in care approximately 2 weeks. They would not have passed the stringent RSPCA temperament test due to their timidness and their rescuers really wanted to give them the best chance of being rehomed and not euthenaised which is why we were contacted and asked if we could take these kittens in.
In the 2 weeks we have had them for they have adjusted well. They can still be fearful in certain situations such as noisy children, loud noises and unfamiliar people and their 1st reaction is to hide however now they resurface almost instantly. A great improvement from the terrified, cowering kittens who were 1st rescued.
Due to their shy nature they are better off suited to a family with older, more settled children, or a couple/single person with no children.
As I have a 5 year old son they are getting use to children and will probably end up being perfectly fine with them though as my son has grown up with rescued, foster, kittens he knows how to handle them and when to give them space. Both Daisy and Rose will allow my son to handle them. Basil and Poppy at this stage are still a little to scared of children.
Daisy is very social and loves the company of another cat. She could be placed as a companion to an existing cat/kitten due to her gentle and playful nature. In fact the ideal home for Daisy would be where she could be rehomed with a sibling. Discount offered if adopting 2 together.
Please consider Daisy when looking for a kitten to join your household as she is a beautiful kitten who is very deserving of finding a forever home to call her own.
Daisy and her siblings are currently in foster care with Rhonda in Toormina, Coffs Harbour. Please email only with enquiries.
Medical Notes
Daisy has been microchipped, is desexed, has had her 1st F3 vaccination and is up to date with worming and flea treatment.
Adoption Process
Please contact foster carer directly by email using the contact details provided in the individual adds.
Our cats/kittens can be taken home the day you meet them (provided they are 8 weeks of age ) so please bring a suitable carrier in anticipation of adoption. An appointment with the individual foster carer will be made prior to adoption in order to meet the cat/kitten and you will be required to give a little information about the home you are offering to make sure that the cat/kitten will suit your home environment.
You then pay the foster carer the adoption fee on the day, fill in some paperwork, and will be given the vaccination and desexing certificates as well as copy of change of ownership forms and will be given a receipt of adoption.
Rhonda's Treasures is a self funded, group of independent foster carers who look after cats/kittens in our homes until they are adopted. We have foster carers spread out across Sydney and have now branched out (December, 2013) to the Coffs Harbour Region.
Rhonda co - ordinates the rescuing from local vet clinics, Sydney pounds/ shelters and surrenders from the public (when we are in a position to take them in). Most of our rescued cats/kittens are in fact handed in from members of the public .
